Abstract :

The aim of this internship is to associate proteins (BSA, microperoxydase-8) to crystalline hybrid porous solids, Metal-Organic Frameworks (MOFs) to obtain bio-hybrid materials with interesting (multi)-catalytic properties.

The use of MOF as a solid-phase matrix for enzymatic immobilization has recently been developed. Stabilization of enzymes in physico-chemical conditions that are not “a priori” biocompatible was demonstrated. Moreover, the remarkable adsorption properties (selectivity, capacity, etc.), the versatility of composition and the structural properties (size and shape of the pores) of the MOFs enable to modulate the affinity of the reagents with the framework and thus to improve the selectivity of their catalytic degradation. The aim of this work is to further improve the properties of these bio-hybrid materials by using MOFs solids with intrinsic properties contributing to the overall catalytic activity of the bio-hybrid material.
